An evening learning linocut printmaking at MobCraft Beer - MKE's Crowdsourced Brewery

Join me in the MobCraft brewing taproom to learn the basics of linocut, where you’ll get to carve and print your own piece of art to take home. In this workshop you will learn how to transfer and carve your image into linoleum, then print your work by hand with basic kitchen tools and try out using a hand press. No prior artistic endeavors or “talent” is needed to participate, you will be able to trace artist’s supplied images if desired. Each ticket comes with a free flagship MobCraft beverage or non-alcoholic drink of your choice.
Disclaimer: You will be using an oil based ink that can potentially stain clothing, please dress appropriately. Each participant will also be using gouges to carve their linoleum, these are very sharp and they can cut skin. We will discuss best practices for safe use of tools. Instructor is not responsible for any injury that may occur during class project.
